Coinbase hires Tim Warner as Vice President of engineering

Coinbase, a cryptocurrency exchange based in San Francisco declared in a blog that they have recruited Tim Wagner as the vice president of engineering. Warner who was with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is now the general manager and is looking after API gateway and other services. Before he was in Amazon he served as a director of development for Visual Studio Ultimate in Microsoft.

The CEO of Coinbase Brain Armstrong in his blog said, “Engineering is central to our mission of creating an open financial system for the world. It is core to our strategy to deliver the most trusted and easiest to use cryptocurrency products and services. We have built an amazing engineering team at a Coinbase, one which Tim will now lead and expand.”

It is showing as if this year Coinbase is in hiring spree. The hiring started began in the beginning of the year. They initially hired Tina Bhatnagar who will work as a vice president of operations and technology. Following that they hired Rachel Horwitz as vice president of Communications and Eric Soto as Vice President of finance. Alesia Haas was recruited as new chief financial officer and Jeff Horowitz as chief compliance officer.

In the blog Coinbase said that they are concentrating on meeting the increased individual needs, institutions and business. At the same time they are advancing in the frontiers of cryptocurrency. The infrastructure is being created which will help to add assets, accelerating the crypto adoption across the world.

These qualities, along with his engineering expertise, make him the ideal addition to our team. We couldn’t be more excited to have him on board.”
